I&T was established in 1988 to introduce advanced NDT techniques to complement the traditional NDT disciplines. It is active with a wide range of NDT methods. In particular I&T has developed advanced computerised ultrasonic techniques for the fully automated acquisition of NDT data. I&T has also developed computerised Tomography together with Spectrum Mosca. I&T operate the LRUT Teletest system for the inspection of land pipe lines and pipework. They employ approximately 40 people and are a specialist service inspection company. Mr Giuseppe Nardoni, is the Director and owner of the company
I&T will be principally concerned with input into LRUT development and the field trials and validation of the PA-AUT and LRUT systems (WP-6).
Currently I&T serves a wide range of industries: chemical, petrochemical, electric power, aircraft, automotive, steel making and mechanical equipment.
